Principal Responsibilities:
Camp Twelve Trails gives children entering Kindergarten - 10th grade the best of both specialty and traditional day camp programs. It is comprised of five Neighborhoods (elective tracks): Play, Create, Explore, Discover, and Grow that allow campers to strengthen their skills in their favorite specialty while encouraging them to explore new areas. Our program is rooted in universally shared values central to Jewish life. These values are incorporated in everything we do, with the hope that it encourages our staff and campers to be the best versions of themselves.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Transportation Coordinator will oversee the busing of all campers and staff to and from Camp, including 17 buses traveling to and from the Manhattan, Bronx, and Westchester areas. They are the lead member of the Camp Twelve Trails Transportation
DUTIES PRE CAMP
- Assist in the coordination of Camper & Staff Bus stops.
- Provide all partners and Academy Bus Company with complete calendar of special events and trips.
- Prepare all bus binders for the summer with dismissal forms and attendance sheets.
- Communicate with families regarding transportation questions and needs
DUTIES DURING CAMP
- Duties begin at 7:30 am checking in with bus captains and communicating all absences.
- Act as the lead contact for parents regarding Attendance and Transportation.
- Supervise morning arrival to camp and afternoon dismissal from camp with support of Camp Leadership
- Communicate all staff absences to bus captains and Camp Director.
- Ensure that all buses are stocked with first aid, water, and snacks, and check buses weekly.
- Organize and Update Bus Binders regularly including changes in authorized pick up persons.
- Maintain camper and staff attendance sheets, and report numbers to the appropriate personnel.
- Work with Director to ensure timely bus routes and make changes as needed.
- Coordinate proper departure for all camp trips leaving from the campgrounds.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all campers in any area or programs at camp.
Salary Range: $5500-$7500
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm during the summer

REQUIREMENTS
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Experience communicating and working with families with children of varying abilities
- Ability to remain calm and maintain perspective under pressure
- Commitment to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs
- Documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
Status:
- Seasonal
- Mondays through Fridays, June 29 - August 14, 2026, including 40-45 hours of staff training in May and June
