Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Development and Institutional Giving and as a key member of the Development team, the Development Operations & Analytics Manager will drive the systems, processes, and analytics that power the organization's fundraising efforts. This role will oversee Salesforce and the team's broader technology ecosystem, manage donor data and portfolio operations, translate fundraising strategy into operational execution, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and process innovation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to connect data, systems, and people to strengthen fundraising performance.
Primary Responsibilities
Development Operations & Analytics (80%)
- CRM & Systems Management. Own and advance the Development team's CRM (Salesforce) and related technology systems, improving workflows, data integrity, dashboards, reporting, and overall operational efficiency.
- Technology & AI Innovation. Champion the integration of AI and other emerging technologies to automate fundraising workflows, enhance donor research, personalize communications, and improve team productivity.
- Prospect Research & Portfolio Management. Oversee prospect research systems, maintain prospect pipelines and outreach tracking, identify high-potential donors, and support strategic portfolio management across the team.
- Development Campaigns & Communications. Manage the production of donor collateral in partnership with Marketing, support digital fundraising campaigns, coordinate donor follow-up, and produce campaign performance reports.
- Events Management. Lead the operational execution of development events and the itrek Mission, overseeing registrations, logistics, vendors, and participant experience.
- Cross-Functional Operations. Serve as the primary liaison with Finance and recommend continuous improvements to development systems and processes.
Major Gifts Account Management (20%)
- Strategic Portfolio Management. Partner with the CEO and frontline fundraisers to manage a portfolio of donor accounts, driving moves management, tracking relationship activity, coordinating cultivation and stewardship strategies, and supporting high-priority donor communications.
- Board & Leadership Engagement. Support the team in managing board relationships, donor engagement, and related development activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-6 years of professional experience in development operations, fundraising, nonprofit management, project management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong operational mindset with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform, including data management, reporting, analytics, and process optimization.
- Comfort leveraging technology–including AI and automation tools–to improve workflows and increase efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable fundraising strategies and operational improvements.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively while exercising sound judgment.
- Passion for itrek's mission and enthusiasm for advancing its fundraising and organizational impact.
