Position Overview
OpenDor Media is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead all aspects of our human resources function across North America, Israel, the United Kingdom and our expanding geographies. This role guides the full employee lifecycle and plays a central part in shaping a thoughtful, supportive, and high performing culture. Partners closely with the COO and senior leaders to build scalable people systems, support organizational growth, and ensure that staff across all regions have the clarity, tools, and environment they need to thrive. This is a full-time position

People and Culture Leadership
- Serve as the senior HR partner and advisor to leadership across all geographies of the business.
- Develop a cohesive People strategy that supports current needs and prepares for future, sustainable growth.
- Maintain a strong, aligned, values driven culture while ensuring consistency across the global team.
- Build scalable processes and documentation for HR operations, compliance, and employee experience.
Employee Engagement and Retention
- Design and execute engagement initiatives that strengthen connection and morale across regions.
- Guide managers in fostering healthy team dynamics, recognition, and communication.
- Lead pulse surveys and follow up action planning.
- Support a culture of learning, collaboration, and shared success.
Employee Relations
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, staff and managers on complex people issues across multiple countries.
- Provide thoughtful, constructive, empathetic coaching to employees and leaders.
- Navigate sensitive situations with confidentiality, discretion, clarity, and fairness.
- Conduct investigations when needed and support resolution plans.
Performance Management, Improvement, and Offboarding
- Oversee a clear, consistent performance management process built around regular review periods, shared expectations, and ongoing alignment between managers and staff.
- Promote a culture of real time feedback by coaching managers to address wins and challenges as they happen, not only during formal reviews.
- Support managers in navigating performance concerns and determining fair, appropriate next steps.
- Guide the creation and execution of performance improvement plans when needed, ensuring expectations, timelines, and documentation are clear and consistent across regions.
- Lead the off-boarding process for voluntary and involuntary departures, ensuring compliance and a respectful experience across the US, Israel, and UK.
- Conduct exit interviews, identify themes, and share actionable insights with leadership to strengthen retention and culture.
Recruiting and Talent Acquisition
- Lead a strategic, proactive talent acquisition function that supports present and future needs.
- Build a consistent recruiting framework including sourcing strategies, screening methods, competency based interviewing, and candidate experience standards.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role profiles, selection criteria, and interview plans.
- Manage the full lifecycle of recruitment across the US, Israel, and UK including posting, pipeline development, interviewing, referencing, and offers.
- Strengthen employer branding through improved job materials, unified messaging, and an engaging careers presence.
- Build a robust onboarding program that supports long term retention and early success.
Training, Learning, and Professional Development
- Design a training and development strategy that supports both organizational and individual growth.
- Implement manager training programs including coaching skills, communication, and team leadership.
- Identify skill gaps and source or create learning opportunities.
- Promote internal mobility and career pathway planning in partnership with managers.
Global HR Operations, Compensation, and Compliance
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, compensation philosophy, salary benchmarking, and pay equity.
- Manage vendor relationships including payroll providers and benefits brokers.
- Serve as the primary internal liaison for employee benefits, overseeing the relationship with third party benefits providers and acting as the main point of contact for staff questions, guidance, and issue resolution.
General HR Responsibilities
- Update and maintain staff policies and processes.
- Ensure adequate health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation across jurisdictions.
Qualifications
- Significant HR leadership experience, ideally within a growing or evolving organization.
- Direct experience managing HR operations across multiple countries.
- Solid understanding of payroll and benefits administration, with experience managing vendor relationships and serving as a resource to employees.
- Ability to build and improve systems, policies, and processes.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coaching abilities and experience supporting managers at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in building effective recruiting and onboarding programs.

Salary
Our target salary range for this position when based in New York is $120,000 - $130,000 annually. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
