Position Overview

The Operations Coordinator plays a central role in the daily operations of IAJF. Based in the organization’s office in Great Neck, this full-time, in-person position supports the Executive Director in advancing IAJF’s mission, programs, and community engagement.

The Operations Coordinator ensures the smooth administrative operation of the office, assists with board and committee activities, supports young leadership initiatives and IAJF’s allocations and grant distribution and helps maintain strong communication with stakeholders.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative management of office operations.

  • Respond to organizational emails and phone inquiries.

  • Maintain accurate fundraising records and support efficient internal processes.

  • Administrative support for the planning and execution of IAJF’s Annual Campaign and related events.

  • Administrative support for the work of the Board of Trustees and organizational committees.

  • Provide administrative support for the organization’s allocations and grant distribution process, including support to related communications and marketing efforts.

  • Support IAJF’s Young Leadership and Young Couples initiatives.

  • Support community outreach and engagement initiatives.

  • Assist in implementing organizational priorities, initiatives, and strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Jewish nonprofit organization, preferably in fundraising and charitable initiatives.

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities effectively under pressure.

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, with a commitment to following through and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.

  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, who works effectively with colleagues, organizational leadership and donors.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and nonprofit database and fundraising platforms, including DonorPerfect and similar systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and discretion.

  • Passion for Jewish communal life and for the mission of the organization.

Compensation

$70,000 - $85,000 annual gross salary.
