We are looking for someone who is excited by hands-on work, meaningful relationships, and being part of a purpose-driven summer experience. ABOUT THE POSITION: imadi is seeking a Head Counselor for the boys’ session of our extraordinary overnight summer camp, imadi at Eagle Point. The Head Counselor plays a critical leadership role in shaping the daily experience, culture, and safety of camp. This individual serves as the primary support and supervisor for counselors, helps translate camp vision into practice, and ensures that every camper feels safe, included, and empowered. The Head Counselor works closely with the senior leadership to manage staff, model professionalism and warmth, and uphold the values and standards of imadi. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStaff Leadership & Supervision- Supervise, mentor, and support counselors- Serve as a visible, approachable leader and role model- Assist with staff onboarding and training- Address staff concerns, conflicts, and performance issues promptly and thoughtfully- Help foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable staff culture Counselor & Camper Experience- Ensure campers are safe, supported, and meaningfully engaged throughout the day- Support counselors in managing camper needs, behaviors, and group dynamics- Help problem-solve camper challenges in coordination with camp leadership and medical staff- Promote inclusion, Judaism, empathy, and childhood joy across all camp activities Program & Daily Operations- Support daily schedules, transitions, and program flow- Help ensure activities are run smoothly, safely, and in alignment with camp values Communication & Coordination- Communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally with staff at all times- Escalate concerns appropriately and contribute to solution-oriented decision-making Safety & Responsibility- Uphold all camp policies, procedures, and safety protocols- Be attentive to risk management, emotional well-being, and physical safety To Apply: Qualified candidates are encouraged to contact Tzvi Haber (Executive Director) at thaber@imadi.org.
