Hillel International is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff to lead the Campus Climate Initiative department. This individual will play a pivotal role in advancing Hillel’s commitment to creating inclusive and welcoming environments for Jewish students on college campuses across the globe and addressing the rise of campus antisemitism. The Chief of Staff will work under the direction of the Vice President of University Initiatives and General Counsel, and the CCI Executive Director, to drive the vision and execution of the CCI program.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Planning: Manage and coordinate the development and implementation of strategic plans and goals for the CCI program in alignment with Hillel International's broader objectives.

Program Management: Coordinate the planning, execution, and evaluation of CCI’s programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and desired outcomes.

Resource Management: Manage all CCI departmental resources, including budget preparation and management, department purchases and expenditures, grant management, human resources, and performance evaluations, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in achieving departmental goals.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to assess the impact and effectiveness of CCI programs, track progress toward goals, and prepare comprehensive reports on CCI’s work for internal and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership: Support a diverse team of CCI professionals and foster a team culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

In-Person Gatherings: Coordinate the planning and execution of CCI in-person conferences and meetings for university administrators and for CCI internal gatherings, utilizing both SIC and external conferences/meetings resources.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in leadership roles, preferably in higher education or nonprofit management.
  • Strong strategic planning and program management skills, with a proven track record of driving results.
  • Substantial familiarity with Hillel’s vision, mission, and day-to-day reality on campus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong positive relationships among team members and within the Hillel movement.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, with proficiency in relevant tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding of Jewish students' unique challenges on college campuses.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of adaptability and resilience.

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $85-95,000 annually.
