Job Summary:

Hillel seeks a full-time Marketing and Events Manager to join our Advancement Team. The Marketing and Events Manager should be passionate about storytelling, design, and event planning and support the school’s mission. This position supports school-wide marketing and promotes the school through digital, print and social media channels, as well as event planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Brand Support

  • In partnership with Enrollment Management and Development, help develop and manage a marketing strategy that includes brand management, design and execution, advertising, social media, direct marketing, and other activities to support the school’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities
  • Ensure all visual content aligns with Hillel’s brand identity by maintaining consistency, quality, and adherence to established brand guidelines
  • Review and approve final visuals as needed, and support the school community in using brand assets correctly and consistently
  • Stay current with marketing trends in the education sector and actively engage in professional development to remain current on best practices related to independent school marketing, emerging social media, and effective marketing and advertising strategies

2. Creative Project & Program Management

  • Manage the production and delivery of marketing projects including digital and print publications, advertising campaigns, and other promotional materials meant to engage the targeted audience, increase the school’s visibility and competitive positioning, and enhance the perception of the school
  • Maintaining a clear content calendar that reflects upcoming school events, partnered programs, promotions, activations, and other seasonal initiatives.
  • Maintain and update the school’s website, including regular analysis of site traffic and content for continuous improvements and accuracy
  • Develop and help guide the strategic vision for Hillel’s social media presence on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, with the goal of strengthening brand identity and deepening engagement across diverse constituent groups.
  • Plan dynamic, innovative and impactful events that strengthen connections within the school and broader community, often with the goal of raising funds and/or attracting prospective families.
  • Oversee all event logistics, including but not limited to managing vendor relations, registration, entertainment, run of show, volunteers, and budgeting
  • Work with the Communications Manager to plan communications that meet the goals of the school
  • Participate in and provide support to all fundraising and recruitment activities.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, design, photography, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a marketing, communications, or creative role
  • Demonstrated experience developing and/or implementing marketing plans, strategies, tactics, and programs
  • Expertise in digital and print graphic design, layout, illustration, and brand identity
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Google Workspace
  • Experience in social media platforms and engagement
  • Familiarity working with a website Content Management System (CMS), preferably Finalsite and Blackbaud.
  • Exceptionally creative and extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Coordinate with printers and vendors to reorder marketing collateral as needed.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be self-motivated, self-starter and a team collaborator
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to early mornings, nights and weekends, as needed
