The Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC Disability Inclusion program is looking for dedicated, compassionate Support Staff to join our team. In this part-time role, you won’t just be "watching" a program—you’ll be the hands-on bridge that helps our participants navigate life-skills, build friendships, and engage with the world around them.

The Impact You’ll Make

As a Support Staff member, your focus is on action and engagement. You aren’t stuck behind a desk planning curriculum; you are on the floor, in the community, and at the heart of the experience.

  • Empower Participants: Guide individuals through real-life experiences, wellness activities, and essential life-skill building.

  • Be a Model: Demonstrate positive social interactions and provide behavioral support using established, inclusive strategies.

  • Ensure Safety & Inclusion: Create a space where every participant feels physically and emotionally secure.

  • Bridge the Gap: Provide "shadowing" support for participants across various JCC departments to ensure our entire agency is truly accessible.

  • Lead the Way: Drive our 14-passenger vehicle to get participants to exciting community outings and volunteer sites. **Program specific

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for team players who are adaptable, empathetic, and ready to jump in.

The Basics:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean record (for van operation). **Program Specific

  • Ability to pass a background check and medical screening.

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or the willingness to get certified upon hire).

The Skills:

  • Experience: Ideally, 1+ years working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • Temperament: You stay calm under pressure and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Physicality: You’re comfortable being on your feet, moving between environments, and can occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
