The Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC invites passionate and caring educators of all backgrounds to join our family of staff as a Part-Time Early Childhood Teacher at our Gan Ami Early Childhood Education campus in Mequon.
This vital "morning opener" position works with our youngest learners (ages 6 weeks–12 months), ensuring they have a warm, peaceful start to their day.
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Status: Part-Time
Position Summary
As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for creating a positive, warm, and nurturing environment for infants during the early morning drop-off hours. Teachers in our program ensure that children are consistently treated with dignity, respect, and compassion from the moment they arrive. You will also promote the JCC’s mission through program compliance, supervision, and implementation of our philosophy of inquiry and open-ended thought.
A good candidate will have:
A genuine love and respect for children and families.
Reliability and punctuality (essential for our early morning opening).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certifications (free training available onsite for hired staff).
An ideal candidate will also have:
1-2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
Experience specifically with infants in a group setting.
Level 7+ on the Wisconsin Registry for Early Childhood.
Demonstrated knowledge of child development and different ECE approaches.
