6th Grade Humanities Teacher (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Hannah Senesh Community Day School, an open and inclusive, independent K-8 Jewish day school in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, is hiring a sixth grade humanities teacher for a maternity leave replacement position February 10-June 13. Responsibilities include teaching English and Social Studies, leading parent-teacher conferences, writing end-of-year progress reports, and advisory.
Candidates will develop a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment, and work collaboratively with the grade-level team members. Education degree and experience teaching pre-adolescent and adolescent students is required. Applicants should be creative, nurturing, and reflective educators who embrace a “whole child” approach to teaching and learning that focuses on growth in academic, social, and emotional domains.
