The Strategic Data Analyst will play a central role in advancing Hadar’s ability to use data as a strategic asset. This position is responsible for strengthening data quality, improving analytical readiness, and translating complex information into insights that guide organizational decision-making. The Strategic Data Analyst will work at the intersection of data governance, systems design, and advanced analysis, helping Hadar build sustainable data practices that support growth, equity, and mission impact.

This role requires an analytical and strategic professional who is comfortable designing systems, interpreting patterns, and collaborating closely with teams across the organization. The ideal candidate brings both technical rigor and a thoughtful, mission-driven approach to data. This is a New York–based position on the Systems Team, reporting to the Director of Systems and Technology.

Responsibilities

Data Quality and CRM Strategy

• Develop standards for data entry, structure, and lifecycle management to ensure long-term data integrity and usability
• Identify and implement system enhancements that improve analytical readiness and reporting accuracy
• Champion the maintenance, strengthening, and evolution of Hadar’s CRM data quality and data governance practices
• Work with departmental teams to refine data protocols and improve organizational data models
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring data needs are clearly understood, scoped, and supported with timely communication

Advanced Data Analysis and Insight Development

• Design and deliver analyses that support strategic decision-making across the organization
• Build reports, dashboards, and data models that surface trends in engagement, demographics, and program participation
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, accessible insights tailored to different audiences
• Proactively explore Salesforce and related systems to identify emerging opportunities and challenges

Engagement Strategy Assessment and Optimization

• Evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and outreach strategies using quantitative and qualitative data
• Partner with program teams to recommend evidence-based improvements
• Develop frameworks to measure engagement over time and assess the impact of organizational initiatives

Systems Design and Measurement Frameworks

• Help design and optimize systems that collect, structure, and monitor key organizational metrics
• Create scalable data collection methods that balance thoroughness with usability
• Establish and maintain regular reporting and monitoring cycles to ensure data accuracy and timeliness

Constituency Research and Organizational Intelligence

• Conduct research to deepen understanding of Hadar’s constituencies and their engagement patterns
• Map organizational reach across demographic and geographic segments
• Analyze longitudinal trends to inform strategic planning and program development
• Generate insights that support organizational growth, equity goals, and mission alignment
  

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience interpreting and communicating complex data to inform organizational strategy
• Proven ability to design and implement analytical processes, dashboards, or measurement frameworks
• Comfort learning new systems and tools; experience with Salesforce, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred
• Strong attention to detail paired with an understanding of broader strategic context
• Ability to translate analytical findings into practical, actionable recommendations
• Highly organized, collaborative, and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong project management skills, including scoping, prioritization, and coordination
