The Hadar Institute is a growing center of Jewish learning that builds vibrant egalitarian communities in North America and Israel. Our vision for Jewish life is rooted in rigorous and nuanced Torah study, gender equality, meaningful Jewish practice, and the values of kindness and compassion. Since our founding in 2006, Hadar has impacted thousands of people through our programs and content, giving Jews of all ages the tools to access traditional texts and live inspired Jewish lives.
The Vice President (VP) of Reach is a new strategic leadership role at Hadar. This role’s focus is to expand Hadar’s visibility, engagement, and influence by amplifying the organization’s mission through strategic marketing, communications, and content development. By broadening our audience through multiple channels, the VP of Reach will have a critical hand in helping Hadar achieve its next phase of growth and goals laid out in our Strategic Plan, with a goal of 100,000 contacts. This position will oversee our communications and content teams and work closely with faculty, development, and program teams among others.
This is a full-time, New York based position reporting into the CEO.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to expand Hadar’s audience through marketing, communications, digital media, and content production.
- Oversee brand strategy, media relations, storytelling, content creation, and public relations.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all channels and touchpoints both print and digital.
- Implement data analysis across platforms to drive decision making and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Partner with teams across the organization including the Development and Program Teams to effectively market and communicate.
- Manage crisis communications when needed.
- Manage the Communications and Content teams and budgets.
- Liaise with external vendors including graphic design team, web developers, photographers, videographers and others as needed.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of and enthusiasm for Hadar’s mission and vision
- Results oriented leader motivated by ambitious goal setting
- Proven track record of establishing and implementing branding, communication and marketing campaign strategies with measurable results
- Strong writing/editing and verbal communication skills with an eye toward detail
- A strong track record as a project manager who thrives on managing a variety of initiatives concurrently
- Experience with CRM and email marketing software (Salesforce and Pardot/Account Engagement a plus)
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and best practices in SEO, Meta Business Manager, and Google Ads, with experience creating ad campaigns with strong creative and brand sensibility
- Proficiency in data analysis to drive decision making
- Experience with media outreach, working with a range of media platforms and outlets a plus
- Familiarity with the Jewish community
- Familiarity with Hebrew language

Salary: Commensurate with experience. Minimum starting salary of $150,000.
