We seek a part-time Project Zug Associate to collaborate with the Director of Project Zug and work closely with Project Zug users and our platform’s web developers. This position will require an average of 20 hours per week.
The Project Zug Associate plays a crucial role on the Project Zug team. Project Zug is Hadar’s havruta learning platform, which engages over 2000 people internationally every year through one-on-one learning – on their own schedule and from anywhere in the world. The Project Zug Associate will work to create a joyful, seamless experience for Zug users and collaborate with the Director of Project Zug to enhance the program.
This position may be in person or remote, with slight preference for candidates located in any of Hadar’s hub locations: New York City, DC, Boston, Chicago, or Los Angeles.

Core Responsibilities:
- Manage Project Zug user experience, including:
- User support as administrator of Project Zug’s email domain including day to day troubleshooting
- Manage havruta (learning pair) matching
- Create, manage, and update registration, survey, and other forms for user interaction
- Serve as main website administrator, including:
- Manage and update course, cycle and webpage content
- Oversee ongoing troubleshooting and improvements of new website platform
- Liaise with Project Zug web developers for digital platform to enhance user experience
- Ensure we are collecting and maintaining user data, including but not limited to:
- Liaising with groups learning with Project Zug to import user data
- Collecting, processing, and responding to user feedback in collaboration with Director of Project Zug
- Staff occasional Project Zug or Hadar programming as needed
- Oversee special projects, including data collection or recruitment campaigns, to enhance Project Zug
Qualifications / Skills:
- A creative, solution-oriented thinker who is motivated by person-centered engagement and creating joyful, seamless user experiences
- Enjoys creating and implementing new systems for streamlining and increasing effectiveness
- Comfort with learning new technologies and online platforms
- Highly organized and responsible
- Friendly and clear verbal and written communication skills, with an eye toward detail
- Has a flexible and collaborative spirit creating a positive work atmosphere
- Motivated by independent work
- Ability to work Eastern time zone hours preferred
- Understanding of the Jewish communal landscape, a plus
- Experience with web development and/or website management, a plus
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, a plus
- Jewish knowledge/background, a plus
- An interest in Jewish learning, a plus
The Project Zug Associate will report to the Director of Project Zug, and be a part of the Program and Engagement Team. This person will also work closely with the Communications and Content teams.
Compensation: $25,000 annually for approximately 20 hours per week
