Position Summary
The STEM Activity Specialist plans and facilitates engaging, hands-on Technology and Engineering (STEM) activities that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for elementary-aged participants.
Minimum Qualifications
● Certified teacher preferred; however, candidates with demonstrated knowledge, relevant coursework, or professional experience in STEM will also be considered.
● Experience delivering hands-on STEM instruction or enrichment activities to children.
● Strong knowledge of STEM concepts and age-appropriate (K-5) instructional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and facilitate engaging STEM lessons and enrichment activities.
● Introduce participants to coding, robotics, engineering, science experiments, and technology-based learning.
● Foster creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through project-based learning.
● Maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
● Collaborate with the Content Specialist and Group Leaders to align activities with program goals.
Hours of Program - Monday - Friday from 2:20PM - 5:30PM.
The position will be 3+ hours during the above timeframe
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
