WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Uniper Program Coordinator is a non-exempt position responsible for coordinating the Uniper program, which involves using technology to enable Holocaust survivors and other isolated seniors to meet new people and stay connected with family and friends. The Program Coordinator utilizes volunteers to assist with helping seniors use the technology and coordinates all aspects of the Uniper program.

  • Work with the Holocaust program case management staff to identify survivors who can benefit from the technology
  • Install the technology in clients' homes, as needed, and monitor usage
  • Develop and implement plans to increase usage by clients, including additional training
  • With the assistance of the Program staff, recruit and train volunteers to assist clients with 1:1 support
  • With Program staff, implement special virtual programs for our clients, and promote national programs of interest
  • Prepare quarterly grant reports, with assistance from the Senior Director
  • Write occasional stories about client usage, including social media posts
  • Attend Uniper cohort meetings, Program staff meetings, and any required conferences
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, preferably some college
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to understand end-user technology, create reports from the technology, and install the devices
  • Ability to communicate to elders, in plain and simple language, with patience
  • Knowledge of Jewish customs, religion, and history of the Holocaust
  • Must have a valid driver's license with current auto insurance coverage.
