What You Will Do
The Hub Lead Navigator is a non-exempt position responsible for providing assisted outreach services to adults, children, and families. The Lead Navigator may provide trauma-informed engagement, counseling, referral, and linkage to formal (community providers) and informal (family, friends, neighbors, school, etc.) resources to prevent ongoing client crisis.
From babies to seniors, Gulf Coast JFCS serves all people in need, regardless of race, religion, culture, or gender identity. Our programs span a broad spectrum of human services, including behavioral and mental health, child welfare and adoption, family support, job and employment transition, housing, food, transportation, and home care assistance for the elderly.

For license-eligible candidates, we may provide both individual and group supervision from a Board-Certified qualified supervisor to help fulfill state requirements, at no cost to the employee, depending on staff availability and scheduling capacity.

What You Will Do
The Hub Lead Navigator is a non-exempt position responsible for providing assisted outreach services to adults, children, and families. The Lead Navigator may provide trauma-informed engagement, counseling, referral, and linkage to formal (community providers) and informal (family, friends, neighbors, school, etc.) resources to prevent ongoing client crisis.
- Responsible for assisting the clinical program manager with operating the Hub sites, including assisting with scheduling, opening, and closing procedures, and safety practices.
- Provide in-person responses to referrals as required and within the periods designated by contractual requirements and/or program procedures.
- Engage with adults, children, and families, as well as their informal support networks (friends, relatives, neighbors, etc.)
- Identify strengths, limitations, risk factors, and needs, using the required assessment tool to develop care plans and coordination of services.
- Provide information, referral, and follow-up for appropriate ancillary community counseling, psychiatric services, financial, employment, parenting, housing, and other services as deemed appropriate to meet client needs.
- Ensure concise and timely completion of all documentation according to contract requirements, including entering all case activities into the electronic health records system within two (2) business days
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, plus two (2) years’ professional experience working with at-risk population to include families experiencing substance abuse matters, domestic violence, and mental health and emotionally disturbed
- Thorough knowledge of human development, counseling theories, and best practices
- Knowledge of community organizations and resources
- Ability to perform individual, family, and group counseling sessions independently
- Ability to work under stressful situations
- Potential exposure to clients who may be verbally and/or physically aggressive
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Use of a personal vehicle to transport children as needed
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage.
