What You Will Do
The Intake Manager is an exempt position responsible for admitting and coordinating initial services to the Hub clients.
From babies to seniors, Gulf Coast JFCS serves all people in need, regardless of race, religion, culture, or gender identity. Our programs span a broad spectrum of human services, including behavioral and mental health, child welfare and adoption, family support, job and employment transition, housing, food, transportation, and home care assistance for the elderly.
Gulf Coast JFCS strives to offer opportunities to gain field experience and direct client contact hours for both Bachelor’s and Master’s level practicum and internships. For license-eligible candidates, we may provide both individual and group supervision from a Board-Certified qualified supervisor to help fulfill state requirements, at no cost to the employee, depending on staff availability and scheduling capacity.

What You Will Do
The Intake Manager is an exempt position responsible for admitting and coordinating initial services to the Hub clients.
- Ensure clients are admitted into the Hub on the same day as arrival for service.
- Complete all intake paperwork comprehensively and make referrals to additional services as necessary.
- Run reports in the electronic health record as required.
- Participate in trainings and team meetings.
- Maintain client contact through routine calls and follow-ups.
- Complete client satisfaction surveys and track data for outcomes.
- Supervise intake coordinators at every site.
- Oversee intake files and ensure required information is being collected accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for recognizing trends in client needs and identifying providers to fill service gaps.
- Assist other staff with the management of incoming phone and website inquiries
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- $52,000 annual salary

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a human services-related field
- or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a human services-related field and two (2) years of professional experience working in the field, preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, with the ability to learn new or updated software.
- Ability to interact with clients while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
- Ability to use verbal de-escalation skills.
- Must be able to lift 15-25 pounds at a time.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must have a valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance coverage
