Youth Care Shift Supervisor

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Shift Supervisor is a non-exempt position responsible for overseeing all direct care staff and certifying that staff complete assignments according to the program's policies and procedures.
Supervisor Responsibilities:

Provide task supervision to all Direct Care Coordinators on the 8 am-4 pm, 4 pm-12 am, and 12 am-8 am shifts
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work alongside Direct Care Coordinators in managing behavior for the children
- Serve as a positive role model to the children and provide crisis intervention
- Work alongside the Assistant Program Director in identifying, developing, and coordinating outdoor activities and field trips daily (coordination includes all logistics, timelines, van availability, payments for entrance fees, deposits for venues, and assessments for any safety and liability considerations)
- Make sure 15- and 30-minute checks are being done to ensure the safety of each child in the shelter’s care
- Attend meetings as necessary and as directed
- Provide direct services to children to ensure a staff/client ratio is maintained in accordance with ORR regulations
- Provide transportation to children in our care for appointments if Direct Care Coordinators/Travel Companions are not available or present
- Assist during the intake process and any incident reports that may result
- Perform all other duties as assigned

- $22.29 per hour PLUS $.50 per hour for working during 2nd shift hours and $1.00 per hour for working overnight and weekend hours.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years of experience working with children and or families.
- Or an Associate degree and one (1) year of experience working with children and or families, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bilingual communication skills in Spanish /English, required.
- Proof of Immunization for: Varicella (2 doses), MMR (2 doses), Influenza (1 dose yearly), Tdap (1 dose).
- Must have a valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.
