Transportation Support Specialist - Part Time

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- The Transportation Support Specialist is a non-exempt position responsible for providing transportation and on-site supervision to children in out-of-home care.
- Provide transportation and supervision of children to/from school, office, foster and/or group homes, and other locations in the community
- Provide supervision to youth at the office, during transport, or in other community locations, as required
- Provide, strengthen and maintain a positive mentoring role by developing rapport with youth under supervision
- Utilize de-escalation and intervention techniques to assist in stabilizing youth in crisis
- Assist other program staff and intervene in crisis situations as necessary
- Attempt to create, strengthen, and maintain positive, supportive working relationships between youth, caregivers, and other professionals involved in serving the youth
- Provide completed documentation for services rendered within required timeframes to case management program staff
- Assist with on-call when necessary in accordance with agency policy and program procedure
- Maintain client confidentiality according to established policies, federal and state statutes, by obtaining needed releases of information
- Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preference given to candidates with childcare experience, experience working with teenagers, and/or experience working in the Child Welfare Dependency system.
- Must have a valid driver license and auto insurance
