WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Lead System Navigator is a non-exempt position responsible for the Family Services Initiative program. This professional non-exempt position will assist the Program Director in providing direct oversight to staff and the assessment of children and families in the home, school, and community settings. Provide linkage and referrals to services and supports, both formal and informal, appropriate to the family’s needs. Develop, strengthen, and maintain a direct working relationship with the family and facilitate collaborative partnership with the families and community providers/professionals to develop a support system for the family. Remote/Hybrid position and would require driving to see clients in Pinellas County several times a week.
- Assist Program Director in providing supervision and oversight to a team of System Navigation staff.
- Provide effective role modeling and guidance to the team. Staff and review cases and procedures with staff.
- Assist Program Director with monthly data tracking, data reporting, and referral assignments.
- Complete client screening in a timely and effective manner - identify strengths, limitations, risk factors, and needs, and to refer and coordinate the provision of concrete services to children and their families.
- Complete Intake, including Family Self-Sufficiency Matrix, and Family Support Plan with the family. Provide ongoing evaluation and monitoring of the Family Support Plan.
- Provide information, referral and follow-up for appropriate community services, such as counseling, psychiatric services, financial, employment, parenting, housing, and other services as deemed appropriate to meet family needs.
- Work cooperatively with Program Director and Juvenile Welfare Board Utilization Management to determine family need and eligibility for financial assistance. Use JWB Service Point in order to submit service requests for financial assistance to eligible families.
- Abide by all GCFJCS policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in professional development training for professional growth, as required by the state of Florida and in accordance with agency policy and procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in social service or related human services field and a minimum one (1) years of experience working with children and families.
- Must possess knowledge of child development; including physical, mental, emotional and cultural and ethnicity issues required.
- Bilingual, English - Spanish, preferred.
- Must have a valid drivers' license and auto insurance coverage.
