Summary

The GrowTorah Program Coordinator is a new position for a detail-oriented project manager and planner. The position reports to Sara Just-Michael, Co-Executive Director, and will have additional responsibilities that cross into other departments, generally delineated in our organizational chart using a MOCHA framework. We anticipate a steep learning curve as we expand this role, but the right candidate will approach this with empathy, flexibility, and appreciation for iterative processes.

A team collaborator, a skilled systems-thinker and problem solver who meets deadlines and works well under pressure with expertise in managing and completing multiple project assignments with competing priorities.

Requirements and skills

  • Experience as program coordinator or similar role
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Tech savvy, independent fast learner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • Able to work in various settings - both individually and as part of a collaborative team
  • Open to learn about gardening, farming and the environment
  • Laughs often and shares joy with others
  • Embraces GrowTorah’s growth mindset for professional development
  • Is fluent in or willing to learn Slack, Google Suite, Zapier, and many other tech tools
  • Has the confidence to apply even if they do not fit all these criteria!

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee project management within the Program department
  • Support planning and coordination of all programs and events
  • Create systems to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly
  • Materials and logistics management for Camp GrowTorah
  • Create & manage systems for tracking and evaluating all programs

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing & communications for all programs
  • Support with development of program operations systems
  • Manage shipping and inventory at GrowTorah HQ

Working Hours & Location

  • This is a full time, year round position
  • Hybrid: This includes remote and in-person work at various partner sites across NYC metro region
  • Working hours are generally 9am-5pm with a few weekend and evening exceptions. Notice will usually be given in advance of these situations.

Employee Salary:

$51,000 - $60,000 Annual salary, based on experience
