Position
The Development & Alumni Relations Associate is a full-time position and will be an integral part of the Advancement Team at Golda Och Academy. In collaboration with the Advancement Team and under the supervision of the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Development Associate will create and implement engagement and fundraising strategies to maximize the quality participation for our school constituency groups. They will also be responsible for the communications, programming and fundraising goals for each of the groups. This position is a primarily on-site role. COVID-19 Vaccination is also required.

Responsibilities
Alumni & Alumni Parent Engagement Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with the Director of Institutional Advancement to serve as the professional leader for the Alumni Committee and work to strengthen alumni volunteer leadership and engagement.
- Provide professional leadership for all alumni programming including but not limited to alumni reunions, alumni family events, NYC Shabbat dinners, alumni college panels, Summer Alumni BBQ, Alumni Basketball Game, Care Package Project, etc.
- Create content and manage our social media profile on a variety of platforms and coordinate our print alumni newsletter.
- Oversee alumni and alumni parent involvement in the GOA Annual campaign and Spring Benefit.
- Oversee and maintain data for 1800+ Schechter/GOA high school graduates
- Interface with current high school students to strengthen transition to alumni status
- Serve as liaison to our Parents of Alumni group.
- Manage engagement with parent of the alumni community by regularly communicating and sharing the accomplishments and engagement of our alumni.
- Develop a plan for grandparent engagement and serve as a key contact person for our dedicated Grandparents committee.
- Provide professional leadership, in partnership with our Special Events Coordinator to plan and execute Grandparents Day and other outreach programming.
- Coordinate grandparent involvement in the GOA Annual campaign.
- Help to identify and recruit new school parent and grandparent volunteers and solicitors.
- Provide professional leadership to manage our Parent Annual Campaign.
- Engage parent and grandparent community in the Spring Gala.
- Serve as the key Development staff person on the organization, marketing and execution of our school’s annual Spring Gala event.
- Assist the Director of Institutional Advancement with other development events and projects as necessary.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to engage a broad range of donors and volunteers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects
- Must be an independent worker with the ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent technology skills, including proficiency?in Microsoft Office and Google Suite of products and social media.
- Familiarity with crowdfunding platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- One or more years of demonstrated success in working with volunteers and/or donors
- Familiarity and experience in the Jewish, non-profit, educational community
