GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Eligibility Supervisor is responsible for serving as the main point of contact for the assigned location/program where the supervisor and their team will assess, coach and support job seekers toward upskilling, training and direct job placement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Business, HR or related field strongly preferred

Other:

  • Facilitating Career Develop (FCD) and/or Business Services Professional (BSP) certification preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity sufficient to effectively relate to and communicate with employers, participants, funding sources, public and staff.
  • Composition skills sufficient to prepare required reports, grants, correspondence, etc

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain and provide reports tracking customer information, program performance, enrollment and exit goals, and program activities to ensure necessary services are received in accordance with funding source requirements.
  2. Provide intake and determine customer eligibility for services. Assist in setting short and long-term goals. Monitor performance and program completion.
  1. Complete all data entry, reporting and documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Data tracking systems may include OSMIS, Salesforce, and Pure Michigan Talent Connect.
  2. Provide oversight, review and evaluation of current programs and services. Oversee new program and service design, planning, development and evaluation.
  3. Maintain communications as required to coordinate services, including determining and assigning customer referrals to program staff.
  4. Review and approve participant activities, including supportive services.
  1. Provide oversight to ensure quality, comprehensive and seamless service delivery to customers.
  1. Recruit, train and evaluate designated staff to ensure quantity and quality of work and promote professional growth and development. Complete written performance evaluation as required.
  1. Review participant files and training plans for eligibility and overall compliance.
  2. Advocate for and link customers to community services and assist in assessing available support services.
  3. Develop, enhance, market and deliver training curriculum and informational workshops to deliver in group and 1:1 sessions.
  1. Provide orientation to services and resources available in center.
  1. Administer and interpret vocational assessment tools such as CASAS, interest surveys and standardized/validated aptitude tests and make appropriate employment and training recommendations.
  1. Provide informed and accurate referrals on behalf of applicants to prospective employers, classroom training, service providers and other programs and services that lead to employment.
  1. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, kneel to install computer equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work in a confined area.

Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.

This position is exempt from the overtime pay provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
