Gabriel Project Mumbai (GPM) is an NGO working with local communities in India, using a holistic approach to community development to address root causes of poverty. Through a grassroots approach, we work with underserved populations to create comprehensive programs that tackle the most pressing issues affecting the community on a daily basis. Founded in 2012, GPM believes in the integration of quality education, accessible healthcare, good nutrition, and sustainable livelihoods (UN SDGs #2, 3, 4 and 8). Entering its 10th year of operation, GPM is on the cusp of a coordinated growth and expansion and requires an equally passionate Administrative Officer to maintain organizational efficacy. Because GPM’s work takes place in India, its Founding Director lives in Israel, and its Board is mostly based in the U.S., the successful candidate will need to be comfortable juggling schedules and priorities. This is a daily half-time position (~20 hours per week) with the opportunity to become full time and will report to the Founding Director. Location: Israel (the position is mostly remote but at least one day a week in Tel Aviv office). About the Position: The administrative officer will be responsible for routine admin tasks that sustain the infrastructure of the organization and will provide administrative support for all staff, especially the Director. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Managing CRM donor database; Updating and maintaining website and social media presence, maintain contact lists; Attending executive committee meetings (bi-weekly Wednesday); Interest in learning and growing in the field of International Development; Play a supportive role for the team in Israel and India; Keeping track of GPM calendar, specifically Executive Director’s meetings and due dates; Keep notes from meetings including phone meetings; follow up when appropriate; General organizational correspondence; Composing and sending thank you notes to donors, etc. Qualifications: Good organizational skills; Good interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently; Fluent in English (oral and written); Experience in general administrative work; Previous work in an NGO, international development experience an advantage; Experience with social media and PR; Graphic design experience an advantage; Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Monday.com, Canva, Google Suite an advantage.
