About The Role

We are seeking a mission-driven, collaborative Technology Project Manager to support FIDF’s rapid digital transformation and operational growth. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role will serve as a key thought partner and “right hand,” helping to shape technology priorities and deliver impactful solutions across the organization.

This hybrid position blends strategic project oversight with hands-on business analysis. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams in fundraising, finance, marketing, and operations to implement user-focused solutions that optimize our systems, workflows, and digital experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing, service-oriented professional to help establish and scale project management practices, improving operational efficiency and cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong customer service mindset, and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving, acting as a trusted liaison between technology and business stakeholders.

Essential Job Duties

Project Management (70%)

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects (e.g., infrastructure upgrades, CRM enhancements, integrations, workflow automation, reporting, and digital tools).
  • Define and manage project charters, scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Champion standardized project management practices, tools, templates, and documentation across the organization.
  • Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and consultants to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
  • Track progress, proactively manage risks, and provide clear, timely updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support change management and user adoption strategies for new systems and enhancements.

Business Analysis (30%)

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather and document business needs and functional requirements.
  • Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement or automation.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable technical specifications for developers and vendors.
  • Facilitate user testing, training, and post-implementation support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of project management and/or business analysis experience, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Strong understanding of major enterprise platforms and systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, digital engagement, reporting tools).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday, Microsoft Project, or similar).
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional projects and engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Empathetic, collaborative leadership style with a growth mindset.
  • Highly responsive, service-oriented approach to internal stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Passion for FIDF’s mission and commitment to nonprofit impact.
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Blackbaud products.
  • Experience implementing or scaling systems and processes in nonprofit, education, or similar sectors.
  • Experience working within or helping to establish a Project Management Office (PMO).
