About the Role

The Regional Marketing & Communications Associate is part of a cohort responsible for executing marketing and communications needs for the FIDF chapters and groups across the country. Assigned to regions and affinity groups, you will work under the guidance of the National Marketing team at FIDF headquarters to execute the marketing and communication needs for your portfolio. This position offers training and exposure to a wide range of aspects of marketing including communications, event promotion, donor engagement, and more – in a fast-paced and exciting environment. Hybrid work with an agreed upon schedule is available.

Essential Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point person for marketing and communications needs for FIDF chapters and affinity groups.
  • Customize content and designs using provided templates.
  • Liaise with National Marketing’s creative director and other team members on original content and designs.
  • Undergo training with the National Marketing team to execute local marketing needs using templates, including mass email communications, event invitations, flyers, ads, newsletters, slideshow presentations, donor gratitude albums, webpages, and social media assets.
  • Coordinate initiatives between the National Marketing team – copywriters, designers, and strategists – and the local chapters and affinity groups to execute local marketing projects.
  • Fill out national marketing request forms/creative briefs together with chapter and affinity group partners.
  • Input and regularly update projects in project management system, track progress, timelines, and deadlines.
  • Project manage and traffic tasks through workflow processes.
  • Liaise with outside vendors on printing and production.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with FIDF chapter and affinity group directors and teams.
  • Track results and perform data analysis on communication campaigns.
  • Take over teammates’ projects when they are out.
  • Learn our repertoire of videos and materials and make recommendations to chapter and affinity group teams.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills and/or Experience Required

  • 2 years of professional experience in non-profits, marketing, or communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Energetic, proactive, and flexible.
  • Creative with a thirst for professional knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and highly pleasant demeanor.
  • Tech savvy with strong aptitude to quickly learn new applications.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Planner is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with mass email communication systems, such as Mail Chimp or Constant Contact.
  • Basic design skills in Adobe Suite are helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and donor databases are helpful but not required.

Today, FIDF spans 24 chapters across the United States, proudly offering a variety of innovative programs that empower Israel’s soldiers with opportunities, while reinforcing the vital bond between the communities in the United States, the soldiers of the IDF, and the State of Israel.
