Position Summary

The Associate Director for the Long Island Chapter will play a pivotal role in advancing the chapter’s mission by fostering relationships with donors, creating and executing strategies for donor engagement, and supporting the growth and development of the chapter. This position requires a results-driven professional who can manage multiple responsibilities, effectively utilize CRM tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve fundraising goals. The Fundraising Manager will focus on the Five Towns and Greater South Shore regions, driving impactful initiatives that elevate the chapter’s presence and impact.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Donor Stewardship and Engagement:
    1. Steward existing donors to ensure retention and growth.
    2. Identify, engage, and solicit new donors, with a focus on high-capacity individuals in the Five Towns and Greater South Shore.
    3. Foster and maintain strong relationships with donors through personalized outreach and tailored engagement strategies.
  2. Fundraising Operations:
    1. Create and manage pipeline reports to support chapter growth.
    2. Design and manage peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
    3. Utilize CRM platforms to support donor relationship management and ensure accurate and timely data entry and reporting.
  3. Board and Leadership Collaboration:
    1. Work closely with local Board members, providing resources and support for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
    2. Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Chapter Director and local Board members.
  4. Event and Program Coordination:
    1. Lead and manage the development and execution of chapter events, outreach activities, and programs.
    2. Implement initiatives to maximize the chapter’s impact across Long Island, focusing on the Five Towns and Greater South Shore.
  5. Strategic Support:
    1. Partner with the Chapter Director to design and implement strategies for expanding the donor base and achieving the chapter’s objectives.
    2. Support the achievement of fundraising goals set by the Chapter Director and Regional VP.
  6. Public Engagement:
    1. Provide support to the Chapter Director for public presentations, engaging small and large groups of participants, volunteers, and donors.

Position Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and event coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and event planning and execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of proficiency with fundraising software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the Long Island community, particularly the Five Towns and Greater South Shore, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
