We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented staff Member to help maintain our community center.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, visitors, staff, and community.

Areas of Responsibility

• Classrooms and activity rooms
• Locker rooms
• Bathrooms and restroom facilities
• Hallways and common areas
• Offices and staff areas
• Building entrances and surrounding areas
• Other areas of the community center as assigned

Housekeeping & Cleaning Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and common areas
• Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies
• Empty trash and recycling
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the facility
• Assist with cleaning and resetting rooms after programs, activities, and events
• Properly use and care for cleaning equipment and supplies
• Report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to management
• Follow all established cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned

Winter Weather Responsibilities

• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather as needed.
• Shovel and clear designated walkways, entrances and other areas around the facility
• Apply salt or ice melt to designated areas as directed.
• Assist with additional winter weather duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional and respectful when interacting with members, visitors, and staff
• Able to follow instructions and established safety procedures
• Ability to safely perform physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, shoveling, moving cleaning equipment and supplies
• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors as needed
