Ramah Day Camp Greater DC is looking for a talented administrator and planner to work as our Registrar and Operations Coordinator. This is an outward facing role and requires outstanding communication and organizational skills. He/she/they is indispensable as the initial connection with our camper families, as an office manager, and member of the camp team. Entering into our 10th summer, we are rapidly expanding while maintaining our commitment to excellence in customer service, camper care and supporting our year-round and summer staff.

September-Mid-June
• Serve as front line for camp communication and questions
• Oversee all aspects of camper registration and waitlist
• Create, monitor and collect all camper and staff forms
• Work with team to support recruitment and year-round programs for campers and staff
• Budget tracking and expense reporting
• Coordinate with camp leadership, unit heads and specialists to order and organize all
supplies, food, and SWAG
• Oversee transportation, which currently includes approximately 9 busses and 12 stops in VA, DC and MD
• Send staff contracts and serve as background check administrator
• Other duties as needed to prepare for opening and running of camp
• Support Director with post-summer reporting
Added Responsibilities June-August
• Oversee all aspects of camp office including: parent communication, daily operations, attendance and transportation, finance & reimbursements, payroll
• Supply ordering, organization, and distribution
• Customer service responding to parent calls with empathy and timeliness
• Work with team to support summer programs such as staff week, staff learning nights, social events, and family programs
• Oversee snack distribution
• Administer electronic tools such as My Camp app
• Other duties as needed to support the running of camp
• See yourself as integral part of camp leadership team and communicate as such
Salary
This is a full-time position with Ramah New England. Salary is $45,000.

Compensation
$45,000Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
• Excellent computer and organizational skills: Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook,
Social Media and ability to quickly learn new software such as Camp Minder, Canva and
Constant Contact
• Some knowledge of the Jewish community and Conservative Judaism
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with a variety of age groups and personalities,
while maintaining a sense of humor and positive attitude
• Loves working with children, teens and college students
• Creative & flexible thinker
• Prior camp experience preferred
• Ability to work some nights and weekends
