Operations Supervisor, Emanuel Congregation

Emanuel Congregation is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Operations Supervisor to oversee our building operations and daily logistics for our synagogue. full-time, in-person position plays a critical role in maintaining strong internal systems and ensuring operational excellence in support of vibrant congregation and inclusive community. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings a strategic mindset to everything from building maintenance, security, vendor relations and event logistics. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Executive Director. What You’ll Do Facilities

Responsibilities: •Supervise scheduling and (as needed) hire, custodial staff. •Oversees building and grounds maintenance, and contracted employees facility is cleanand maintained according to policy and procedures. •Manage and reviews service contracts including warranty information and renewal dates. •Conduct and document all unplanned and regular facilities inspections. •Recommend maintenance and repair needs to the Executive Director. •Manage all facilities-related projects, collect bids, ensure facilities contracts are in place,coordinate and communicate with contractors. Verify all contracted work is complete. •Complete and monitor regular facilities set up for space share partners, regular servicesand special events. •Maintain internal calendar for facilities related activities. •Communicate and facilitate workplace safety precautions to employees. Security, Health & Safety Responsibilities: •Ensure security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly. •In conjunction with the Director of security, maintain building security relatedprocedures, trainings, and technology. •Coordinate with Director of Security to ensure security personnel are at events, servicesand programs. •Support facility-related security grant projects. Events Responsibilities: •Manage event staff schedules, set-up and tear down. •Troubleshoot issues for regular and high holy day services, regular and special events,and space share partners requests as they arise. •Produce and maintain training materials, event set-up documentation, and proceduresfor event logistics. •Manage inventory, maintenance, replacement and ordering of all event items.

Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in facilities or operations, experience in a house of worship is preferred. • Prior supervisory experience preferred • Strong proficiency Google Suite and Microsoft Office • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency. • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Compensation/Benefits What You’ll Receive • Full Time, In Person Position. General hours will be M-F 9am – 5pm with occasional Saturdays and evening required • Annual Salary of $45,000 - $47,500 • Congregational Membership • Medical Insurance • Paid Vacation • Paid Sick Time • Closure of Office Operations on Major Holidays
