SUMMARY:Receives incoming calls, quest visitors in the reception area, and directs them to appropriate staff. Performs various clerical tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Operates phone system by:

a) Answers incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate personnel.

  1. Monitors the lobby area for resident safety and assists residents as necessary.

  1. Assists Residents with personal matters such as:

a) Distributes mail and newspapers to residents.

  1. Distributes personal funds to residents.

c) Sells meal tickets to guests.

  1. Completes additional duties as assigned

  1. Data entry for Nursing, data entry for inservices

  1. Maintains parking lot permit file

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be reliable and responsible, conforming to established work hours and maintaining an acceptable work attendance record.

Positive attitude.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
