Description
We are looking for a HR Assistant/Payroll Coordinator to join our team at Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab!
Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Answers directly to HR Director
Rate starting at $24.00 per hour
Experience with Paycom is preferred but not required
Experience with Payroll processes required

Qualifications
Purpose:
This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting key human resources functions that contribute to a positive employee experience and organizational compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Accurately and timely processes bi-weekly payroll transactions in Paycom
- Enters time-off, bonuses, and corrects punch errors in Paycom.
- Reviews daily punches and labor allocation for accuracy, making corrections as needed including contracted staff
- Ensures accuracy of employee deductions and processes them timely.
- Enters wage garnishments in Paycom and responds to external requests
- Downloads payroll reports each pay period for recordkeeping
- Conduct monthly CMS reporting
- Perform additional duties as assigned by HR Director
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, wage and hour laws, and employment regulations
- Familiarity with payroll systems, preferably Paycom, and HRIS platform
- Knowledge of benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
- Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and their impact on payroll and HR processes
- Basic accounting and financial reporting principles
