Programs include residential and outpatient addiction treatment, recovery services, prevention education, and community programming. We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse is to perform nursing duties, medication administration oversight, and psychoeducation at the Center for Recovery and Wellness.
Responsibilities
- Follow protocols and policies for medication management duties in the residential addiction treatment facility and support outpatient facility as needed.
- Maintain standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting of client files.
- Assess the medical status of new and existing clients, and refer for outside medical care when appropriate.
- Monitor physical health needs for patients receiving ancillary withdrawal services.
- Follow physician orders in a timely manner and maintain high standards of client care.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurser (RN) with a valid NYS license required
- 3-5 years of experience in a nursing role required
- Experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player who is able to multi-task and handle challenging situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Competency with computer-based programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook email, Relias, and electronic health records.
