Join Our Team at Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate MDS Assistant to join our faith-based, not-for-profit long-term care and rehabilitation facility. If you have a background in healthcare, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for serving older adults, we want to hear from you! This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. Three years healthcare experience is preferred. You must possess a strong understanding of medical terminology.
The work is performed in a normal office environment. You may have to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
· MDS Process Support: Schedule and transmit data internally and to the federal government.
· Document Management: Prepare, deliver, and review Medicare compliance documentation (NOMNC and ABN) with residents or representatives.
· Team Coordination: Create and distribute the monthly MDS schedule to the interdisciplinary team.
· Administrative Duties: Handle medical record requests, file documents, and support the MDS Director.
· Customer Service: Uphold the residents’ Bill of Rights with patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition.
