LPN Staffing Coordinator

Full-Time | Massry Residence Assisted Living | Albany, NY

Compensation: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, dependable, and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as our Staffing Coordinator. This key position is responsible for developing and maintaining staff schedules, coordinating shift coverage, managing call-offs, and supporting daily staffing operations to ensure exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance.

Schedule Requirements

· Full-time, five (5) days per week

· Schedule may vary between 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, or split shifts as operationally necessary

· Rotating weekends required

· Holiday availability required

· Must be able to respond to staffing needs and urgent scheduling concerns as necessary

Responsibilities

· Create and maintain schedules for nursing and resident care staff

· Coordinate staffing coverage for call-offs, vacations, leaves of absence, and open shifts

· Maintain staffing records and attendance tracking

· Ensure staffing levels meet resident care needs and regulatory requirements

· Communicate scheduling changes promptly and professionally

· Assist with recruitment, interview scheduling, onboarding, and retention efforts

· Monitor overtime and staffing trends to support efficient workforce management

· Work collaboratively with nursing leadership and department managers

· Maintain staffing contact lists and scheduling systems

· Support a positive team culture through effective communication and staff engagement

Qualifications

· Current New York State LPN License in good standing

· Minimum of one year of nursing experience required

· Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living experience preferred

· Previous scheduling, staffing, or supervisory experience preferred

· Experience scheduling 24/7 healthcare operations preferred

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
