At Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors we’re dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to older adults. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Resident Account Specialist – Medicaid to play a critical role in ensuring accurate billing, supporting residents and families, and navigating the complexities of Medicaid and Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC).

What You’ll Do

In this key role, you’ll manage and oversee Medicaid billing operations while serving as a trusted resource for residents, families, and external partners.

Core Responsibilities:

• Process weekly Medicaid billing and patient statements with accuracy and timeliness
• Manage MLTC and Fee-for-Service billing, ensuring compliance with payer contracts and regulations
• Serve as the United Healthcare I-SNP liaison for enrollment updates and insurance inquiries
• Track and maintain authorizations, eligibility, and payer updates
• Oversee Medicaid pending accounts, working with families, county offices, and attorneys to expedite approvals
• Complete Medicaid recertifications and manage NAMI (Net Available Monthly Income) updates
• Maintain accurate resident financial records, including census and payer changes
• Respond to billing inquiries from residents and families with professionalism and care
• Monitor accounts receivable and support collections activity when needed
• Collaborate with leadership (CFO, Supervisor) to resolve issues and improve processes

What You Bring

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare billing, with a strong focus on Medicaid
• Working knowledge of MLTC, Medicaid regulations, and insurance billing systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and handle sensitive situations with empathy
