We are currently seeking applicants for a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our 7-3 pm shift including on call one weekend a month.

The basic job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Under the direction of the nurse manager and following specific care plans, performs a broad range of nursing functions including providing medications related protocols.
• Maintains various records and reports reflecting care given such as nursing notes, charges, receipts for drugs, and other matters that are a part of unit procedures.
• Oversees and supervises the activities of subordinate staff, makes daily assignments and assists with scheduling.
• As part of standard routine, observes conditions, physical changes, of residents making necessary documentation and reporting observations primary physician. Performs rounds with physicians as requested.
• Assists supervision in orientation and training of new staff and other administrative assignments requested.
• From time-to-time (when applicable), may participate in other nursing department activities, including serving on committees, perform quality assurance audits, etc.
• When assigned, may perform the function of team leader or charge nurse as requested.
• Meets the conduct, appearance, attendance and other standards.
• Performs other duties as may be requested or required on a non-regular basis, including willingness to cover additional shifts.

Requirements:

• Current NYS LPN License
• Certification from an accredited nursing training program
• Minimum 2 years of related experience highly preferred
• Previous supervisory experience a plus
• On call one weekend a month
