Daughters of Sarah Senior Community is seeking a full-time & detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team and support our daily financial operations reporting to the Senior Accountant.
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting administrative functions across departments. This role will also provide support to Human Resources, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both finance and administrative work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school;
OR at least 6 months of related experience/training;
OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles
- Experience or exposure to HR functions preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices in accordance with purchasing policies and procedures
- Match purchase orders to invoices, verify pricing, and ensure accurate coding
- Resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Purchasing Coordinator
- Perform weekly check runs for all entities
Payment Processing:
- Review and determine payment due dates on a weekly basis
- Identify vendors accepting American Express and process payments accordingly
Financial & Administrative Duties:
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Assist with monthly closing and reconciliation of accounts
- Support preparation for annual financial statement audits
- Perform general administrative duties related to accounts payable operations
Cash & Deposit Management:
- Post daily cash receipts for all organizations
- Scan and upload deposits to the network drive
Resident Trust Accounts:
- Manage resident trust accounts, including check requests and disbursements
- Maintain petty cash balances and accurate transaction records
- Ensure compliance and proper documentation of all resident financial activity
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support HR with onboarding paperwork, file maintenance, and payroll coordination as needed
- Maintain professional standards of conduct, attendance, and appearance
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

PAY
$23.00 – $30.00 hourly, Non-Exempt
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal office; lifting up to 20 lbs. as part of office activities.
