Henry Crown & Company/CC Industries is a Chicago-based, privately-held company that manages business, philanthropic, and family interests on behalf of a multi-generational family. The business ventures fall into broadly-defined categories: wholly-owned operating companies, public and private equity investments, and real estate. Position Description

This role will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, screening security monitors, flow of correspondence, as well as additional clerical duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Open reception areas and switchboard promptly at 8:00am and throughout the day until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • Answer phones courteously and transfer calls to appropriate parties using an Avaya phone system
  • Screen security monitors to ensure guest and employee safety
  • Greet visitors and direct to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain a professional reception area at all times
  • Other projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2-3 years of corporate office experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; pleasant telephone voice; comfortable communicating with management and clients
  • Punctual
  • Professional appearance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
