We are launching Yachad at Home, an exciting new initiative that brings Jewish learning directly into families’ homes, and we are seeking a Coordinator to lead and build this program with us from the ground up.

Position Overview:

The Yachad at Home Coordinator will be responsible for the ongoing design, implementation, and success of this new Shabbat morning program.
This is a highly relational, entrepreneurial role that sits at the intersection of:
● Curriculum adaption
● Family engagement
● Staff recruitment and supervision
● Program operations
The Coordinator will ensure that each Yachad at Home location delivers a consistent, high-quality experience while allowing each community to develop its own character.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Design & Curriculum Development
● Adapt and oversee a 3-year rotating curriculum for K–2 students, aligned with Yachad’s educational vision and adapted for home-based, mixed-age learning
● Build weekly “Judaism in Your Home” practices that translate learning into lived experience
● Design text study for adult chevruta learning on each week’s theme
● Collaborate with Yachad leadership and curriculum coordinators to ensure alignment and rigor

Recruitment & Community Building
● Identify and onboard host families across target neighborhoods
● Recruit and enroll participating families, with a focus on accessibility and relationship-building
● Cultivate strong, ongoing relationships with families, serving as a primary point of contact

Staffing & Supervision
● Hire, train, and supervise:
○ Part-time educators for each location
○ Songleaders/music specialists
● Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure high-quality facilitation and engagement

Program Operations & Logistics
● Oversee weekly program logistics across all locations, including scheduling and staffing, materials, and food delivery coordination
● Manage transportation and educator coverage as needed
● Plan and execute:
○ Three annual community-wide Shabbat gatherings
○ Annual NYC family experience

Communication
● Develop clear, consistent communication with families, including weekly updates and resources
● Partner with Yachad leadership on broader program messaging and integration

Evaluation & Growth
● Gather feedback from families and educators to continuously refine the model
● Track participation, engagement, and retention
● Contribute to strategic planning for program expansion

Qualifications
● 5+ years of experience in Jewish education, youth programming, or related field
● Strong background in curriculum design and experiential education
● Demonstrated ability to build relationships with families and children
● Experience hiring, supervising, and coaching educators
● Highly organized, with strong operational and project management skills
● Comfortable working additional evenings/weekends as required

Compensation:

This is intended to give a general overview of the role. Responsibilities may evolve over time based on the needs of the community and the strengths you bring to the team.
Job Title: Yachad at Home Coordinator
Reports to: Yachad Director
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package included
Status: Exempt
Department: Yachad
Schedule: This is a full-time position with Sundays and Mondays off . This position requires the ability to work Saturday mornings, some weekday evenings, and select holidays. The position is year-round with lighter summer months.
