We’re looking for a Full-Time Jewish Educator to join Yachad, our innovative religious education program that serves nearly 600 students. Our team collaborates on curriculum design, builds authentic relationships with students and families, and cultivates a sense of belonging that extends beyond the classroom. What We’re Looking For: We’re searching for a passionate Jewish educator who’s ready to dive into meaningful work with a collaborative, values-driven team. Here’s what makes a strong candidate:

Experience teaching or leading in educational or Jewish communal settings

Experience with neurodivergent children in learning environments

Confidence and ability to lead Jewish learning experiences across a range of ages, including work with families with young children.

A self-starter who brings creativity, patience, a sense of humor, and a strong work ethic

Working knowledge of Hebrew (you don’t need to be fluent, but should be able to teach decoding)

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities

Teach a variety of classes in grades K-12 in both Jewish Studies & Hebrew.

Create exciting lesson plans, programs, and opportunities for connection for various grades throughout our Yachad program.

Work in partnership with fellow full-time educators, part-time educators, and madrichim (teen assistants) in implementing curriculum and programming for students and families.

Coordinate with the Associate Director, Learning and Inclusion to ensure curricular content is being presented thoughtfully and in a way that works for a variety of learning styles.

Manage all administrative duties for each class you teach including, but not limited to: regular attendance, communication with part-time teachers when necessary, follow-up communications with families, etc.

Create strong relationships with students & families, and work to encourage relationships between the two. We teach kids, but we want to engage the whole family!

Proactively, and consistently engage parents in communication about their child(ren)’s progress, both in Jewish Studies and in Hebrew - in-person and/or electronically.

Be a part of the planning and execution of all grade-wide programs for grades you are responsible for, as well as select Yachad-wide family programs around Shabbat and the holidays (including either Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur).

Depending on need, this position may be asked to support the planning and running of some off-site trips / retreats.

Act as a resource and collaborative partner for all fellow Full-Time Yachad Educators.

Able to be a team player as a full-time member of the CBE staff and the Yachad staff.
Qualifications and Expectations

Bachelor’s Degree
-
1 - 3 years of teaching experience, or leading in a similar setting.

Background and experience in most or all:
-
pedagogy

curriculum development

lesson planning

Jewish summer camp

Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills

Desire and ability to work with children and young adults

Knowledge and ability to lead Jewish education & experiences

Working knowledge of Hebrew and ability to teach students Hebrew decoding (not fluent/conversational Hebrew)

Judaic Content knowledge in text, ritual, history

Be a self-starter and able to work with minimum amount of supervision

Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and strong work ethic, and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule: This is a full-time position with Sundays and Mondays off. This position requires the ability to work Saturday mornings, some weekday evenings, and select holidays. The position is year-round with light summer months of June and July.
Start Date: August 18, 2026
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000
