Valley Beth Shalom Day School (VBSDS) is seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and dependable Jewish Studies and/or Hebrew Substitute Teachers to join our school community. As a substitute teacher, you'll help maintain a positive and engaging classroom experience, support students' learning, and foster a strong connection to Jewish values, traditions, and Hebrew language. We offer flexible, as-needed teaching opportunities throughout the school year, with competitive compensation

Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom instruction in Jewish Studies and/or Hebrew.

• Follow lesson plans and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment.

• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.

• Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure a smooth classroom experience.

Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience is required.

• Proficiency in Hebrew and/or a strong background in Jewish Studies.

• Ability to engage and manage elementary-aged students.

• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  
  

Compensation & Schedule:

$40 per hour, with a guaranteed minimum of $275 per day. Flexible, as-needed substitute opportunities are available throughout the school year.
