ABOUT POSITION
The Facilities Operations Intern will provide administrative and logistical support to the Facilities & Operations team across Commonpoint locations. The intern will gain practical experience in nonprofit operations, project coordination, and administrative processes related to facility planning, scheduling, and compliance. The intern must be interested in organizational operations and behind-the-scenes support that enables impactful community services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist with organizing and maintaining documentation for facility-related processes, including scheduling, inspections, permits, and compliance reports.
● Support the coordination of facility usage requests, room reservations, and internal scheduling across sites.
● Help track inventory, order supplies, and maintain records of deliveries and usage.
● Provide clerical and data entry support related to facility operations, contracts, and vendor communications.
● Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and internal communications for the Facilities team.
● Participate in the development and maintenance of tracking tools and shared files.
● Shadow Facilities & Operations staff during internal meetings and planning sessions.
● Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility needs are documented and addressed efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● High school or college; interest in nonprofit management, operations, logistics, or business administration is a plus.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
