Position Description: The Impact, Research & Evaluation (IRE) Department is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional to serve as the Specialist, Strategy & Evaluation. This part-time role supports agency-wide strategic initiatives, evaluation processes, professional learning systems, and operational coordination across the organization. Working under the supervision of the Coordinator, Strategy & Evaluation, the Specialist will help strengthen internal systems, support cross-departmental projects, coordinate evaluation activities, and contribute to the organization’s broader culture of learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Operations & Coordination
Support the coordination of strategic department initiatives, timelines, and cross-functional projects across the organization
Assist in strengthening internal systems, workflows, and communication processes that support organizational effectiveness and accountability
Collaborate with department leadership on fellow recruitment, onboarding, and operational planning efforts related to departmental growth and team development
Identify patterns, themes, and operational insights that can inform process improvement and strategic decision-making
Professional Learning & Organizational
Support agency-wide professional development initiatives, including coordination, communication, participation data tracking, and continuous improvement efforts
Collaborate on maintaining professional learning resources and systems that promote accessibility, engagement, and alignment with organizational priorities
Assist in supporting organization-wide data survey launches and evaluation timelines to ensure departments are prepared for successful implementation
Strategy, Communications & Special Projects
Support strategic projects and organizational initiatives through research, presentation development, data summaries, and narrative writing
Assist in translating organizational priorities, evaluation findings, and strategic goals into accessible materials and internal communications
Collaborate on the creation of learning resources, guides, videos, and presentations connected to agency-wide initiatives and systems implementation
Evaluation & Qualitative Insights
Support qualitative evaluation processes, including interviews, focus groups, and reflective feedback collection efforts
Assist with quantitative & qualitative data synthesis, thematic analysis, and insight development in collaboration with department staff and fellows
Contribute to evaluation summaries, presentations, and findings reports that support organizational learning and decision-making
Collaborate with leadership to help identify trends, strengths, challenges, and opportunities emerging from evaluation data and staff feedback
Performance Evaluation & Organizational Learning Systems
Support organization-wide performance evaluation processes, including goal-setting systems, mid-year reflections, and end-of-year evaluation efforts
Assist in analyzing qualitative feedback and organizational trends connected to employee growth, supervision, and learning culture
Contribute to initiatives that strengthen reflective practice, feedback systems, and continuous improvement across departments
Professional Development & Organizational Engagement
Participate in ongoing personal and professional growth activities to build skills and align with evolving department needs.
Attend and contribute to departmental trainings, team meetings, and cross-program learning opportunities.
Actively engage in the supervision process, including goal-setting, reflection, and feedback.
Participate in agency-wide events, initiatives, and committees as assigned, contributing to a culture of learning, equity, and service.
Assist with any other projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Data Management, Social Sciences) or equivalent work experience (with degree in progress).
1-2 years of experience in a supporting or coordinating role, preferably related to project management, data management, or impact assessment.
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in project management and data management tools (e.g., Google Sheets/Slides).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
JOB DETAILS
Schedule: 19 hours per week
Pay Scale: $23-25/hour
Start Date: July 1st
