ABOUT THE ROLE
To continue advancing the impact we have across the communities we serve, Commonpoint is hiring an IT Intern situated within the IT Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
30% Researching, documenting, and writing instructions for common IT help issues for help desk Self-Help Section.
70% Organize and maintain IT resources
- Data entry into inventory system
- Tagging tickets in Help Desk System
- Scanning Paper Files to Google Drive, organizing and indexing
- Cell phone inventory
- Organize and catalog existing documentation

- Attend weekly IT Team meetings
Preferred Skills
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office - Word/Excel/Powerpoint or Google Apps - Docs, Sheets, Slides
- Be able to work independently from home if necessary
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to focus on details and identify areas for improvement
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage various tasks
- Excited about putting things in order

Commonpoint offers competitive base salaries benchmarked against comparable nonprofit organizations in the New York metropolitan area. Salaries are determined based on internal and external equity, as well as each position’s scope, qualifications, and organizational impact. To maintain fairness across the organization, salary offers are set according to established salary bands and are not subject to negotiation. New hires typically start near the beginning of the salary range to allow for growth based on performance, professional development, and tenure.
