About the Programs

The JFEW Internship program offer college students from the CUNY Hillel community paid, professional summer internships with leading corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies throughout New York City. The JFEW Summer Internship program, sponsored by Jewish Foundation for Education of Women in partnership with UJA-Federation of New York, is one component of a selective 3-year Scholarship program for high-achieving young women from the CUNY Hillel community.

Program Highlights

• Comprehensive Internship Preparation/Orientation: During the academic year prior to the internship, JFEW students participate in workshops on resume-building, job interview preparation, networking strategies, and professional communication to prepare them for professional success.

• Career Development: Program includes one-to-one resume development, mock interviews, and 3 skills-building and networking events during the summer.

• Access to Exclusive Internships: Students are placed in internships in their field of interest across a wide range of industries.

JFEW Program Timeline

June 15 – August 7

JFEW Compensation and Payroll

Interns work 35 hours per week for 8 weeks, or a total of 280 hours. Compensation is $22/hour. Placements are subsidized by Jewish Foundation for Education of Women.
