Office Administrative Assistant Intern Opportunity Youth
Department Overview: Commonpoint (Samuel Field YM & YWHA) Adult Workforce Department consists of employment and support programs serving individuals predominantly adults 18 and over and opportunity youth ages 16-24. The department provides access to occupational training, education, resources, and support programs for individuals who are motivated to enter the workforce.
Position Summary: The Office Assistant Intern supports day-to-day administrative operations to ensure an organized and efficient workplace. The intern will gain hands-on experience in clerical tasks, communication, and office management while developing professional and organizational skills in a business or nonprofit setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist visitors, clients, or staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and manage general inquiries.
Support administrative tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.
Maintain organized records, documents, and office supplies.
Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and coordinating logistics.
Help draft correspondence, memos, or reports as directed.
Ensure the front desk and common areas are tidy and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
● No High School Diploma required.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Schedule: 15-20 hours per week.
