CHARLES E. SMITH JEWISH DAY SCHOOL
ROCKVILLE, MD
The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School announces the following coaching vacancies for the 2025-20246 school year. Middle School teams meet up to 3 days per week and High School Teams meet up to 5 days per week. We have no games or practices Friday through Saturday sundown.
- Varsity Boys Basketball Assistant Coach
- Varsity Swimming Assistant Coach
- Wrestling Assistant Coach
- Varsity Girls Basketball Assistant Coach
Qualifications
- For varsity positions, must have 2 years’ coaching experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attend all games and practices
- Take bus with team to select away events
- Attend all necessary league and school coaching meetings and award banquets
- Current first aide/ CPR certification or ability to get training before season (school will provide CPR classes)
- Knowledge of the rules of the sport
- Enthusiasm, commitment, patience and passion for teaching the sport
- Ability to motivate and provide leadership
- Manage and coordinate practice sessions and games
- Administrative duties as related to your team, specifically email communication with families every week and as necessary

Work Environment:
- While on campus, classes may be operating either in person or in an alternative setting. Teachers are expected to be present and accessible for the agreed upon hours regardless of the setting.
