Maintenance Technician
The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore is in search of a Maintenance Technician to provide commercial building and preventive maintenance and repair services for several buildings. Must have your own basic tools and transportation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Report to the responsible party at each location to help troubleshoot, repair, or recommend next steps to facilitate timely completion of maintenance and repairs
- Assess and repair building issues consisting of minor carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work including but not limited to: changing light bulbs, ballasts, receptacles, switches, toilet parts, door hardware, air filters, decking, drywall, ceiling tiles, etc.
- Utilize our enterprise work order database to prioritize, track and report on your work
- Must be a professional and personable team player and self-starter capable of prioritizing and organizing your work with minimal supervision.
- Utilize best practices in all of your work to facilitate long-lasting and appropriate solutions with minimal call backs and down time.
Skills and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-8 years of related work experience is required
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with team
- This position is required to work on the interior and exterior of our buildings. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb or work off of a ladder. This skill set requires the use of everyday tools specific to the construction trades.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $48-000-$52,000; commensurate with experience.
