Operations Manager

The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore has an immediate opening for a full-time on-site Operations Manager that will provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth functioning of the main office building. The candidate will be responsible for developing multi-office/campus communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, building security access, , and task completion and delegation. The Operations Manager is expected to be on-site Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 5 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Office Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations including managing office equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs, ensuring a clean and organized workspace, maintaining stocked and organized coffee/water areas, and managing all incoming and outgoing mail. Liaison with Facilities and Housekeeping teams to ensure that meeting rooms and front-of-house areas present a professional, welcoming image for staff and visitors.
  • Meeting Coordination: Assist in scheduling, organizing, and coordinating meetings. This includes handling logistics, arranging security, providing necessary supplies and ensuring meeting room is set up properly. This position oversees a busy meeting schedule and ensures that everything runs smoothly.
  • Assist with door, badge and key-fob access control systems for buildings and organizations that are part of the access system. Assist security staff to ensure safety for our headquarters.
  • Vendor Management: Responsible for ordering all office supplies needed for the office. Liaison for all building maintenance and housekeeping., shredding, printing, supplies, and mailing accounts for The Associated.
  • Act as a go-to resource for staff—solving practical problems quickly (room set-ups, supplies, visitor access, office moves).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years work-related experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Local travel required (keep)
  • Occasional weeknights/weekends (we may be able to remove)
  • May need to be on call as needed
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: Starting salary $65,000; Salary is commensurate with experience.
